Summary:

We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to assist in growing Tetra Tech’s Oil and Gas environmental business.  Experience in the oil and gas environmental industry is a must.  Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment.  Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload and travel as needed.  Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications required.

Your Role:

  • Manage projects and ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and with the quality that Tetra Tech is known for.
  • Prepare and provide proposals to clientele.
  • Participate in planning and update meetings and serve as a resource to field staff.
  • Field Activities include oversight of subcontractors, field audits and inspections.
  • Report writing, permit applications, database management.
  • Develop work plans, reports and proposals for various types for permitting projects, investigations and environmental site assessments and remediation projects.

Qualifications:

A Post-secondary degree or diploma in environmental, agricultural or natural sciences or applicable discipline with five years of experience is required.   Must have demonstrated ability in field data collection and analysis, technical writing.  Experience in environmental consulting or related experience preferred.  Knowledge of environmental regulations preferred.  Previous experience with project management, marketing, proposal preparation and client and regulatory interaction is required.  Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must.

Work Environment:

Work will be split between the Calgary office and field.  Field work will primarily be in the greater Calgary area but some overnight travel may be required.  Field work will be primarily outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions, possibly wearing FRC clothing.  No relocation costs will be provided.

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship (a copy of a valid work permit may be required).
To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required but will be explained during the recruitment process if they are necessary. As this position may be serving clients that have vaccination requirements for site access, we may be confirming your eligibility to comply with this requirement.
